Rugby-themed art to raise funds for Exeter Foundation
An Exeter-based gallery is marking 2015 as an iconic year in English rugby and raising money for the Exeter Foundation with a set of commemorative rugby-themed prints.
The seven original linocut prints have been created by artist Paul Cleden, in association with the Brook Gallery, and are intended to artistically celebrate the game of rugby at every level in this important year.
The A3 size prints are priced at £310 each or £1,860 for the whole portfolio of seven prints and ten percent of all sales will go to the Exeter Foundation. In addition, the first 50 of the 90 sets created will be sold as a collector’s box set.
A set of prints were presented to the Exeter Foundation at the Exeter Chiefs vs Bath game at Sandy Park on September 19th. Speaking after the presentation, trustee Tony Rowe said, “We’re very grateful that Paul Cleden and the Brook Gallery have chosen the Exeter Foundation as recipients of some of the income from the prints.”
More information about the commemorative artwork can be found on the Brook Gallery’s website – www.brookgallery.co.uk or by calling 01395 443003.
