Foundation Charities are Confirmed
A total of 18 different charities are set to benefit from the fundraising efforts of the Exeter Foundation during the upcoming 2015/16 season.
Set up in 2010 by the Exeter Chiefs and a selected group of city-based businessmen, the Foundation has helped to raise over £420,000 since its inception for a catalogue of charities and organisations in and around the Exeter area.
Through numerous fundraising events, as well as match days at Exeter Rugby Club –the lives of countless people have been transformed thanks to the efforts of all those involved.
Last season, Foundation charities benefitted to the tune of £47,362 – all of which will be handed out during a special presentation at the Season Launch Dinner being held at Sandy Park on the 12th of September.
The trustees are hoping this season proves to be equally as successful, if not better, for the Foundation, which has also been adopted at the Mayor of Exeter as her adopted charity.
Exeter Foundation chairman, Tony Rowe OBE, said: “Every year we are seeing the Foundation grow in stature. The work it has done for all the charities since we launched it all those years has been simply fantastic.
“We know from speaking to all the charities involved that the funds we raise really do make a difference in so many ways. “
The charities set to benefit from the efforts of the Exeter Foundation this year are: Age UK Exeter, C Group, Devon In Sight, Dream A Way, ELF, Exeter Deaf Academy, Exeter Dementia Alliance, Exeter Lions, Exeter Youth Rugby, Families for Children, FORCE, Headway Devon, MNDA, Richards Wish, St Loyes, Vranch House, WESC Foundation, Wooden Spoon.
