The Exeter Foundation Statement - Powderham Concerts
Exeter Foundation are saddened to learn of the announcement that promoter Stephen McManus has cancelled the upcoming concerts involving Olly Murs and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Powderham Castle over the weekend of July 29/30.
In what was hoped to be a great weekend of vital fundraising for the Foundation, the official charity of Exeter Rugby Club, it’s bitterly disappointing to hear the news that Stephen C Associates Limited, promoter of the two events, has ceased to trade, is insolvent and is expected to go into liquidation shortly.
The Foundation remain committed to working within the local community to help raise funds for a number of charities and organisations, not only here in Exeter, but across the wider region.
Exeter Foundation Chairman, Tony Rowe OBE, said: "As a club we are naturally disappointed with the announcement as not only does it affect our fundraising efforts for the Exeter Foundation, but it means a lot of people within the local area have also been let down badly."
