Cowan-Dickie Raises Funds for the Foudation

Just over a week has now passed since Exeter Chiefs and England hooker, Luke Cowan-Dickie, completed his incredible 24-hour gaming marathon.

In a challenge which he said prior would be 'tough', the 26-year-old was joined by a huge number of fans, fellow gamers and team-mates to help see him through the night.

Completing the 24-hours at 3pm on the Saturday, he took a well-earned rest, spending time with him family and getting some much needed sleep.

Speaking after the event, Cowan-Dickie commented on what kept him focused on keeping awake through the early hours.

"If it wasn't for charity then I may have stopped in the early hours," he said. "Staying on meant we could raise as much money as possible for a great charity, I had guys on with me throughout the night, both playing and talking in the chat, and that buy-in from people made it much easier for me.

"It wasn't just local rugby fans watching either, people from all over the world were getting involved, with the stream being featured on the Twitch homepage, and the number of viewers we had were incredible."

In total, Luke's charity stream raised over £800 for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation, helping to assist a number of charities across the city of Exeter which are in need to help during these difficult times.

"It was really fun to do and great to raise money for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation," he added. "Perhaps in the future we could do something similar again and, hopefully. raise more money for a great cause."
