BPA Quality to take part in 24 in 24 challenge
Foundation XV member BPA Quality are again undertaking a physical team challenge raising funds for the Exeter Foundation. Last season they took part in the three peaks challenge - however this season they are upping the stakes and taking part in the '24 in 24' challenge.
The task itself is a mountain challenge undertaking a linear route covering 24 peaks in 24 hours. Starting in the north west of the Lake District, the route snakes down and round to take in Scafell on the way, before looping back up and finishing in the north east by Ullswater, creating an entirely linked route from West to East with a total distance of 67km.
In 2017, BPA raised over £3,000 for the Foundation by completing the 3 peaks challenge. The team are hoping that 2018 will surpass their total raised in 2017.
Head of Operations at BPA QUality Mark Turner explained, "The 24 Peaks Challenge was chosen from a long list of events submitted by the team - this included a few outside of the UK. We wanted to raise money for the Exeter Foundation and make sure we did something that we could train for that would give us a real sense of achievement. It’s great to see the money going somewhere close to home, benefitting our community. We also wanted people to sponsor us to do something that not many people have done."
